"The Long Take," "Borch" & "Steve Rupp At The Turtle Rock Ceiling" (2010)

Absolutely stunning underwater footage and atmospheric improvisation from guitarist Henry Kaiser (and friends) - shot beneath Antarctica's ice... by Kaiser himself. A scientific diver and accomplished photographer when he's not making impossible music, The Long Take combines both of Kaiser's loves into ten uninterrupted minutes of beautiful, sub-ice surrealism. Gorgeous dissonance wed to a seascape so crystal clear it feels like you're walking in the desert at sunrise. The broken glass ice beds near the end are a total trip. There are two more videos you can view above, Borch (9:31) and Steve Rupp At The Turtle Rock Ceiling (6:23), and more (plus commentary) @ YouTube. Go full screen on this one.
